A Well Earned Rest...

Well folks...thats it.
PENCILS DOWN!
The month of MARCH MODOK MADNESS IS OFFICIALLY ENDED!
So, while our illustrious founder heads out to the beach for a little well deserved R&R, with his umbrella drink, and a monte cristo cigar in hand. I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all for making this a lot of fun.
I'd also like to thank my fellow administrator Brendan for introducing me to MODOK, and for getting so actively involved in making this a wonderful month of fun fan art.
Thanks Brendan.
That being said. Please, Comb through this blog.....
In one month we have netted just shy of 100 individual pieces of art. AMAZING!
We've netted traffic from other sites that link to us. AWESOME!
We've got art from new people and made new contact with other MODOK fans. ASTOUNDING!
Furthermore, it was fun and challenging for all. SWEET!
Brendan and I are hoping to see some of you again next year when the madness is rekindled in O9'.
However, Brendan and I are tentatively scheduling to have MODOK return again this year. For another month of art, comics, animation, and whatever you wanna do to celebrate our favorite "mental organism".
As the rough plans stand now.....
THE MONTH WILL BE OCTOBER............
and the mission will be.... MODOKTOBERFEST!
But, thats some time from now, no need to worry about it yet.. So, have a great spring and summer season. Do some drawings, hit the beaches, enjoy cold beers on warm late afternoons, and all the other good stuff.

Happy Trails To You, Until We Meet Again...

As MODOK rides off into the sunset, he thanks you all for making March MODOK Madness a hit. Thanks to everyone who contributed, I loved seeing all the varieties of MODOK you all came up with. Hope to do it all again, like, next March. Or, perhaps, a wee bit sooner.... Stay tuned.

The Lonely, Horrific Death Of MODOK

This one breaks my heart. On their first major mission the Serpent Society were hired by AIM(those turncoats Advanced Idea Mechanics) to assassinate MODOK. They caught him unawares and proceeded to fill him with poison while he was still in his pajamas. I drew this from memory. I could have sworn the cover looked just like this. I finally found the cover on the internet and saw that they only show Death Adder(the dude on the far left) attacking MODOK while he is in his pajamas. I'm pretty sure there is a panel in the comic where Death Adder and Cottonmouth(the dude with the huge teeth) are just chewing on the poor soul. I remember MODOK somehow(don't ask) ripping off the arms of the dude with the tail(and he was flying). I couldn't find my issue of this so this is all from memory. I know I have the issue of Iron Man that came out shortly after where they reanimate the rotting corpse of MODOK and make him attack Iron Man(again it was those Benedict Arnold's at AIM).

These memories haunted me as a child and still to this day I can't sleep at night until I check under my bed for snakes. Never again I say! Death Adder was one of the first executed by Scourge(the weird dude who assassinated supervillains). MODOK has been back recently. I am unsure if he is undead or just older(I'm talking about the crows feet and the pallid skin). Lets remember him in better times, but never forget the tragic past so we are not doomed to repeat it. A prayer for MODOK.

Nobody's business but the Turks!

Took me a while, but I got it in before the buzzer! This is an nod to a couple Turkish films I saw recently, including one featuring the Turkish Captain America (I know!) and the EVIL Turkish Spiderman.

Surprisingly good, especially the fight scenes. There's a double kick in a cemetery that will blow your mind!!!

Fishing With MODOK

We all enjoy a little downtime from scientific work and world domination planning. Fishing is a great way to unwind. However, think twice when you invite a mental organism, whom sits atop a ROCKET-powered mobility chair, aboard your WOODEN row boat. Silly bucket-headed, beekeeper, AIM guy.

I agree, Chris. Truly, our favorite mental organism is a man of mystery. Though he has that 2 ton brain, he never really tells us what's on his mind. Doesn't he know relationships are built on communication? Sigh.

Modok's Poetry Corner No. 4

So, for this final installment of the Poetry corner we delve into some of Modok's work. Involving poetic verse and its interpretation of his illustrious name. We also note that MODOK smoked a little Pot back in SUPER VILLAIN UNIVERSITY. My guess is he was hanging with man ape, arnum Zola, and perhaps the hypno hustler at this time.
