Museum Piece MODOK

This MODOK-like relic comes courtesy of Peru's Museo Nacional de la Historia y la Cultura. The stunningly well-preserved artifact was discovered in the Peruvian highlands on the lower slopes of the Andes Mountains. Thought to be a deity of the Chuatepak people who inhabited the region in the latter part of the Iron Age, modern Peruvian folklore has it that this god, "El Organismo mental Diseñó sólo para matar" in Spanish, was able to annihilate enemies with the strength of its thoughts alone.

Teenagerdom is rough on everyone. Kids can be downright brutal to one another, and young Modok was especially prone to teasing at school. He was big, awkward, had acne and braces--with head gear! His poor eyesight and unseemly glasses didn't help things.
