Submitted MODOK: Micro Chen

MOMODOK! Wow, this one is from a returning Micro Chen who writes:
Has anyone done this one yet?
The MOMO meme as MODOK? MOMODOK? In this context he’d be MEME ORGANISM DESIGNED ONLY FOR KILLING
Each year, we tend to get some MODOK submissions reflecting the trending news (a lot of Trump MODOKs the past two years, for example) and, surprisingly, this is the first MOMODOK we've received this March! However, the month ain't over!

Nice work, Micro!  Check out more of Chen's work here: www.mircochen.com

Submitted MODOK: Craig L. Wittler

Craig creates another mash-up.  He writes:

I just saw the promotional video for the upcoming Disney Channel 'TV Event' (their words) "Phineas & Ferb: MISSION MARVEL" in which the characters from that cartoon meet up with some Marvel superheroes AND supervillains. And guess which Marvel Baddie showed up in TWO promo stills... yep, our March Madman, MODOK.
Which got my brain working. (Always a bad thing) If you didn't know, a major character on Phineas & Ferb is Perry the Platypus, a seemingly quiet pet who sneaks away on secret missions as "Agent P" in most of the episodes' 'B-story'. In Agent P mode, Perry is seriously badass... so he HAD to be the one P&F character I'd put into my old reliable MODOK cutout (from the Mark Palm remake of the Jack Kirby original). And yes, I HAD to make it look like a piece of leaked art from the production (with a big overlaid "NOT")... if you think it better to omit that, I'll send you a 'clean' version, but only if you INSIST.

BTW, it's not easy to make a portmanteau name for this character: PHODOC? Platypus Hybrid Organism Designed for One Cartoon?
Have fun.

Check out Craig's blog here.  Thanks, Craig!  Keep on meme-in'!

Submitted MODOK: Craig L. Wittler

It seems we overlooked a few MODOK meme pieces from 2011 by Craig Wittler.

One tied into the Oscar-winning movie of the year, so it may be kinda dated: "MODOKing's Speech" (with a classic Kirby MODOK.)

But the other was SO obvious, I'm surprised nobody else has done it (if they have and I missed it, break it to me gently).

Bugs Bunny: "What's Up MODOK?" (MODOK by Brendan Tobin.)

Thanks, Craig. Sorry if we left these out, we get a bit swamped every March. Check out Craig's cartoon & comics blog, everyone.

Submitted MODOK: Meme-Master Craig Wittler

Craig L. Wittler, who sent us a slew of MODOK-themed memes two years ago, returns with a new batch! Check these first few out:

"I have MODOK getting to the International Space Station... by MO-Docking!" Original MODOK by Brendan Tobin.

"Do you remember the British youth fad of the 1960s called "The Mods"? (If you do, you're as old as I am, and I'm sorry) Anyway, one of The Mods' trademarks were tricked-out motor scooters, so here's a "MOD MODOK" on a scooter." Original MODOK by John Cullen.

"And then there's that other Web phenomenon with similar initials: "Machine Of Death, OK?" (well, on this book cover, MODOK looks not OK; remember, if you're not part of the machine, you're its target...)" Original MODOK by unknown, found here.

Nice work, Craig.  I'll be posting a few more you sent along in the next few days.  Mr. Wittler has started a cartoon & comic blog, so go check it out.  He was kind enough to include a post on MMM as well.  We thank you, sir!

You may have heard that the new Broadway musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, has had its fair share of problems since opening night (and before that actually), so the creators went back and tried to salvage the production by making it a sure hit as MODOK the Musical: Turn On The DOK! Thanks, Craig!

Craig balances the scales after sending us an Apple iMODOK with the Motorola DROID version: The MODROID! Whether you go one way or the other, you can't beat a smart phone that is part mental organism. It also features a tele-brain blast to rid you of unsolicited telemarketing calls and/or bill collectors! Thanks, Craig!

Craig continues his internet meme inspired MODOK collage work and what's the news everyone's knee deep in lately? If you guessed the protests in Wisconsin or the increasing alarm about military intervention in Libya, you are so wrong! Charlie Sheen, baby, and his manic rantings! Actually, I'm willing to bet you take any quote from his ramblings as late and regurgitate it through the giant head that is MODOK, it winds up appearing quite normal. Thanks, Craig!

Submitted MODOK: Craig Wittler

Here comes a second piece from Mr. Wittler: The Hipster MODOK, the scourge of Williamsburg!* Cruising around on his fixed gear rocket chair looking for vintage clothing stores to purchase an ironic t-shirt in. Why? Because he wore out the neckhole of his last one! Even the new Radiohead album can't console him. Thanks again, Craig.

*I kid you Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I love and miss you. I still can't find a grandma's slice like Driggs has up here...
