Submitted MODOK: RD

RD returns with one final piece this year:
In the very last minutes of the month, I send you my final submission this year, the so-called "big one" I wanted to do for years.
The timing felt just right for this one, with Marvel and DC's recent decision to once again play along nicely with each other and bringing back crossovers.
So here's my unofficial pitch for the next big thing: MODOK VS EGG FU!

Obviously based on the cover of the classic Superman VS Amazing Spider-man, with all my apologies and respect to Ross Andru and Dick Giordiano (that background was a bitch), and if I had more time, I might have made an alt.version with the modern iterations of the characters, and even tossed in some simple colors as well, but it is what it is now, hope you
like it in all it's rough sketchiness.

Thanks RD! Check out RD's work here: https://vanezigy.blogspot.com/

The final piece from John Douglas arrives:

Well, here it is, the last of the March M.O.D.O.K. Madness for 2026. And what better way to send off our favorite Mind Blastin’ Buddy than to have the A.I.M. Agent whispering “Hush” and all that with a parody of “Goodnight Moon”.

Thank you, John, for all your great work this year!  You can see John's work here: https://johndouglasart.blogspot.com/

So sorry to John and the fans of this blog, I've been a bit behind in posting these submissions!

Here's John in his own words:

Why did I choose to have M.O.D.O.K. driving some sort of "Mad Max: Fury Road" style murderous dune buggy?   Who knows, especially since I really don’t like drawing vehicles.  Bleh!  What was I thinking?

So sorry to John and the fans of this blog, I've been a bit behind in posting these submissions!

Here's John in his own words:

Submission #07, my pastiche of Frazetta based loosely on Ms. Marvel’s battle with our big-headed chum in “Ms. Marvel #7” Vol. 1 (1977).

Submitted MODOK: Keith Vincent

Keith returns this year with a twofer!  He writes:

Here are a few items from me. One of them is just vibes. The other one features some fun 3d experimentation in illustrator. I like to think that the Calico Critters people have licenced the use of some Marvel villains. It would be funny to see Vermin or Kraven the Hunter in the cute world of Calico Critters.

Thanks, Keith! Always love to have you aboard!  Check out his website here: earthlingkeith.com

Legion McRae returns this year.  He writes:

This year, to honour this greatest of months, I hosted a battle of Xenos Rampant on Friday at my club's monthly game night:
M.O.D.O.K. and the Time Banditos in … The Kryptonite Caper!
Scale: 28mm

Rules: Xenos Rampant
Table Size: 6 x 6
Scenario: Can MODOK and El Guapo recover their plethora of pilfered prisms before the Star Posse claps them in irons?

Another MODOK from John Douglas:
Here's the next submission, this time doing a parody of the classic "Akira" poster by Otomo, with M.O.D.O.K. doing the classic walk toward his Kirby-Powered Mecho-Chair.  As for the Kanji for M.O.D.O.K., as I neither read or write Japanese (heck, many argue I barely read and write in my native tongue, English) I will have to put my blind faith in the Internet that the English to Kanji translator I used is correct. What could possibly go wrong?

Submitted MODOK: John Douglas!

Perennial contributor John Douglas returns this year:

It's time again for one of my favorite times of the year: March M.O.D.O.K. Madness--I mark it off on my King Kirby Calendar every year in anticipation! I'll start off this year with a nod to the classic B-Movie movie poster, "Attack of the 50ft. Woman”, painted by the late, great Reynold Brown, why not?

Amazing! Thanks, John!

The inbox is still getting some MODOK art in these final hours of March. RD sent this mechanized mental organism and writes,

And, one more to finish off this year's Madness (hopefully I'm still on time).
Based on that infamous little yellow helicopter of Thanos from Spidey Super Stories #39, here's the much more lethal MODOKopter.

Once again thank you guys for keeping the flame alive - it's been a blast.
See you next year!

Big thanks to you as well RD for coming back year after year and keeping this celebration of MODOK airborne. For more RD art in the off season visit https://vanezigy.blogspot.com/ .

Keep on Mindblasting.

MODOK making machine John Douglas returns with his eighth submission this year!

I hope all is well! Here it is, the last of the "March M.O.D.O.K. Madness", and M.O.D.O.K. is only marginally worse for the wear. It is time for him to get some rest until next year.

We hope MODOK rests well!  Thanks, John!

A big thanks to you for this beauty, Legion!

Submitted MODOK: Eric Collins

Eric has sent us this MODOK spirited drawing and writes,
Is technology beneficial to nature? Does it extend the existence of man or accelerate its destruction? Can a mental machine designed for destruction serve as a positive contribution to the universe? Maybe the most dangerous things on the planet are the men tinkering with technology beyond the bounds of common comprehension. Someone should ask AI in what ways it is a detrimental versus beneficial to society.

Many thanks for sharing the artwork with us again this year Mr. Collins. If you'd like to see more work from Eric visit him @ www.oobust.com.

Longtime friend of the blog John returns with another MODOK submission and writes,
I hope all is well!  Not sure why I have submitted so many drawings this year with ol' M.O.D.O.K.'s head being so lumpy with all them big brains he has, but here's another.  Also, I'm really not sure as to why he's wearing metallic overalls and the rest of his outfit, for that matter.  Perhaps he has some wrasslin' to do or some opponents to defeat in the dojo of mental combat?

For more work from Mr. Douglas we invite you to look back over the blog for years of previous submissions. Or, you can cut out the MODOK shaped middle man and visit https://johndouglasart.blogspot.com/.

Keep on Mindblasting!
