Another RD masterpiece, this one based on the cabinet art of the original Donkey Kong arcade machines, just in time for MAR10 Day!
Thanks and check out RD's work here.
For this one, I wanted to commemorate (possibly slight spoiler?) MODOK's big screen debut, but without doing a straight-up MCU fanart; and then I remembered the infamous Fletcher Hanks and his art, well, one panel in particular. (from this golden age story: https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=37639 )
So, here's Giant-man and MODOK in place of Stardust the Super Wizard and De Structo's head, hope you'll like it.I'm a big fan of Fletcher Hanks' unusual work and happy to see it here! Thanks, RD! Check out RD's work at https://vanezigy.blogspot.com/!
Humpty Dumpty MODOK. Based on Sir John Tenniel's fantastic illustration for "Alice Through the Looking-Glass", and as a bonus feature, it also includes (since there was that huge empty space on the right side) the classic nursery rhyme as rewritten by my sister and me.Nice work, guys! MODOK seems right at home in the Looking Glass environment! And as a bonus: a premiere sketch by RR found on Twitter!
Based on Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s classic “four panel”/”eight words” origin for Superman from “All Star Superman” #1, name a comic book character and our artists will do a four panel/eight word origin for that character.Twitter follower, KeithAlanMorgan suggested: MODOK. I loves me a MODOK suggestion.
