Steve Davich is a collector of fine things, like MODOKs! He picked up this amazingly rendered MODOK by talented comic book maker Dave Wachter at Wizard World Chicago in 2009 and shares it with March MODOK Madness today. Submitted MODOK: Craig Wittler

Here comes a second piece from Mr. Wittler: The Hipster MODOK, the scourge of Williamsburg!* Cruising around on his fixed gear rocket chair looking for vintage clothing stores to purchase an ironic t-shirt in. Why? Because he wore out the neckhole of his last one! Even the new Radiohead album can't console him. Thanks again, Craig.

*I kid you Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I love and miss you. I still can't find a grandma's slice like Driggs has up here...

VideoGaming with MODOK..

Since the installed that gaming system in the AIM Headquarters Breakroom. MODOK, certainly has been working on his combo attack and tech hits.

March is off to a great start guys, Looking forward to more awesome art..
Hope you all dig,

Submitted MODOK: Brian Miller

Have you seen the gameplay to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3? Here it is! Brian sent us this awesome depiction of MODOK vs. Captain America, laying down the smack talk, and apparently still rocking the GameCube! I'm betting that MODOK has enabled as many cheats as he can! Thanks for your contribution, Brian! Exclamation points!

Submitted MODOK: Craig Wittler

Craig sends in this cool Dr. Who mash-up MODOK featuring the good MODOKTOR chilling out in his TARDIS, like only a Time Lord can. So, who wants to take a crack at the 10 MODOKTORS who came before? Thanks for the submission, Craig!

Submitted MODOK: James Stowe

James Stowe returns this year with VENOMODOK! We know the alien symbiote that grafts itself to a human host has a thing for brains, so why not combine with the largest brain around? What a lethal combination! You can see more of James' work at his blog, the CLAW, and his strip.

Submitted MODOK: David Balan

David, a student of sequential art at Savanna College of Art and Design, sends us this whimsical and wispy MODOK chomping on a big cigar. I'm sure Jack Kirby would dig, as he too enjoyed the occasional cigar. Thanks so much for your contribution, David. If you would like to see more examples of David's work, you can do so here.

The Maleficent MODOK #1: A Marvel Masterwork Pin-Up Page Finish

Hey all!

I plan on continuing my comic from last year, The Maleficent MODOK #1, which I never got to finish due to time constraints and, let's face it, after each March, I'm always a little burned out on MODOK to keep going! Not that I don't love the big guy. Here's the finish of the Marvel Masterwork Pin-Up sketch I posted last year, and I hope to follow with the rest of "Boyos' Night Out" soon. If I have time, keep your eye out for The Maleficent MODOK #13...

Some bloggy business: Be sure to follow March MODOK Madness on Facebook and Twitter this year, links on the right. Glad to see submissions coming in, we welcome all to submit their renditions of MODOK by emailing your work to the address found under "ENLIST!", also to the right. Welcome to March MODOK MAdness 2011!

Submitted MODOK: Ian Sokoliwski

Ian Sokoliwski sends us a sweet diva MODOK battle featuring deadly mammary cannons! He writes:

...here's my rather disturbing entry for MODOK March Madness. I hope you like it!

...well, I'm sure 'like' is too strong a word. Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are probably not going to be amused. At least I would hope not.

I don't know, I can see Lady Gaga liking it. Well, it makes me feel a little funny! Check out more of Ian's work at his website and blog. Thanks, Ian!

Submitted MODOK: Chet Phillips

Chet Phillips sends us this masterful Victorian-era MODOK known as SCORN (Steam-Controlled Organisms Re-Engineered for Neutralization)! SCORN is one card out of a 20-card set featuring many steam-punk versions of super-villains designed by Mr. Phillips and can be peeped here.

RAMPING UP FOR MODOK

Hey All,
Its just three short days until the Madness begins.
I hope your getting jazzed for another month long tribute to one of Marvel's finest Villains. I figured I'd post this bit of M.O.D.O.K. fan art for a show (last October; a.k.a. "the off season") at GreenBrainComics in Dearborn MI.
The work was just B&W pencils. So, I slapped some colors on it for fun. Drop me a comment if your down with this image, and MODOK in general... Beyond that I'll spend my weekend getting lots of sketches started for March, along with some other exciting side projects.

As always I Hope you dig the work, and would like to wish you much luck in this years MINDBLASTING efforts..

Sincerely,
Pedro Delgado
